Price Alerts
Set price alerts to get notified when stocks hit your target levels.
What Are Alerts?
Alerts notify you when: - A stock reaches a specific price - A stock moves by a certain percentage - Technical conditions are met
Never miss an opportunity or risk management trigger again.
Creating Alerts
Step 1: Navigate to Alerts
- Go to Alerts from the sidebar
- Click + New Alert
Step 2: Configure Alert

Step 3: Set Notification Preferences
Choose how to be notified: - [ ] Email - [ ] Push notification (mobile) - [ ] In-app notification - [ ] SMS (if configured)
Step 4: Save Alert
Click Create Alert to activate.
Alert Types
Price Alerts
| Type | Trigger |
|---|---|
| Price Above | When price rises above target |
| Price Below | When price falls below target |
| Price Cross | When price crosses either direction |
Percentage Alerts
| Type | Trigger |
|---|---|
| Up % | Price increases by X% from current |
| Down % | Price decreases by X% from current |
| Daily Change | Moves X% in one day |
Technical Alerts
| Type | Trigger |
|---|---|
| RSI Overbought | RSI crosses above 70 |
| RSI Oversold | RSI crosses below 30 |
| MA Crossover | Fast MA crosses slow MA |
| Volume Spike | Volume exceeds X times average |
Managing Alerts
Viewing Active Alerts
Go to Alerts to see all alerts:

Alert Status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Monitoring, not yet triggered |
| Triggered | Condition met, notification sent |
| Paused | Temporarily disabled |
| Expired | Time limit reached |
Editing Alerts
- Click on any alert
- Modify conditions
- Click Save
Deleting Alerts
- Click on the alert
- Click Delete
- Confirm deletion
Or use bulk delete: 1. Select multiple alerts (checkboxes) 2. Click Delete Selected
Alert Options
One-Time vs Recurring
| Type | Behavior |
|---|---|
| One-Time | Triggers once, then deactivates |
| Recurring | Resets after triggering, alerts again |
Expiration
Set alerts to automatically expire: - After 1 day - After 1 week - After 1 month - Never (manual)
Cooldown Period
For recurring alerts, set minimum time between triggers: - No cooldown (can trigger every check) - 1 hour minimum - 1 day minimum - 1 week minimum
Notification Channels
Default notification method: - Subject: "Price Alert: AAPL is above $200" - Includes current price, trigger price, time
Push Notifications
For mobile app users: - Instant notification - Tap to open app - See alert details
SMS
If phone number configured: - Text message alert - Short format - Requires premium subscription
In-App
- Bell icon shows notification count
- Click to see all alerts
- Mark as read/unread
Quick Alerts
From Live Analysis
- Run analysis on any stock
- Click Set Alert
- Suggested levels pre-filled:
- Support level
- Resistance level
- Current price +/- 5%
From Chart
- View any stock chart
- Right-click at a price level
- Select Set Alert at $X
From Watchlist
- Go to your watchlist
- Click the bell icon next to any symbol
- Quick alert creation
Alert Best Practices
Entry Alerts
Set alerts for potential entries: - Price approaching support - Breakout above resistance - Technical setup forming
Exit Alerts
Set alerts for position management: - Stop loss approaching - Take profit target - Trailing stop level
Risk Alerts
Set alerts for risk management: - Position moving against you - Key support/resistance breaking - Unusual volatility
Common Alert Strategies
Breakout Alert
Alert: AAPL Above $200
Use: Enter long on confirmed breakout
Support Test Alert
Alert: AAPL Below $185
Use: Watch for bounce opportunity
Stop Loss Warning
Alert: AAPL Below $175
Use: Reminder that stop is near
Profit Target Alert
Alert: AAPL Above $220
Use: Consider taking profits
Alert History
Viewing Past Alerts
- Go to Alerts > History
- See all triggered alerts
- Filter by date, symbol, or type
Alert Analytics
See patterns in your alerts: - Most triggered symbols - Time of day patterns - Hit rate (triggered vs expired)
Bulk Alert Management
Import Alerts
- Click Import
- Upload CSV file with:
- Symbol
- Condition
- Price
- Preview and confirm
Export Alerts
- Click Export
- Download current alerts as CSV
- Use for backup or sharing
Clear All
- Click Clear All
- Choose: Triggered only / All alerts
- Confirm action
Troubleshooting
Alert Not Triggering
- Check if market is open
- Verify price hasn't already passed
- Ensure alert is Active (not Paused)
- Check notification settings
Too Many Notifications
- Use recurring with cooldown
- Delete old triggered alerts
- Consolidate similar alerts
Missing Notifications
- Check email spam folder
- Verify notification preferences
- Check app notification permissions
