Saved Portfolios

Save and manage your portfolio allocations for easy access and comparison.


What Are Saved Portfolios?

Saved portfolios store: - Target allocations - Your desired asset weights - Optimization results - From the Portfolio Optimizer - Rebalance plans - Calculated trade recommendations - Portfolio metadata - Name, description, created date


Viewing Saved Portfolios

  1. Go to Saved Portfolios from the sidebar
  2. See a list of all your saved portfolios
  3. Each card shows:
  4. Portfolio name
  5. Number of assets
  6. Expected return / risk
  7. Date created

Creating a Saved Portfolio

From Portfolio Optimizer

  1. Run an optimization
  2. Click Save Portfolio
  3. Enter a name (e.g., "Tech Growth Portfolio")
  4. Add optional description
  5. Click Save

From Rebalance Tool

  1. Set your target allocation
  2. Click Save as Portfolio
  3. Name and save

Manual Creation

  1. Go to Saved Portfolios
  2. Click + New Portfolio
  3. Enter assets and target weights
  4. Save

Click on any saved portfolio to see:

Managing Portfolios

Edit Portfolio

  1. Open the portfolio
  2. Click Edit
  3. Modify allocations
  4. Click Save Changes

Duplicate Portfolio

  1. Open the portfolio
  2. Click Duplicate
  3. Rename the copy
  4. Make modifications

Delete Portfolio

  1. Open the portfolio
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm deletion

Note: Deletion is permanent.


Using Saved Portfolios

Apply to Rebalance

  1. Open a saved portfolio
  2. Click Rebalance
  3. Enter current holdings
  4. Calculate required trades

Compare Portfolios

  1. Select multiple portfolios (checkboxes)
  2. Click Compare
  3. See side-by-side metrics:
  4. Return vs. Risk scatter plot
  5. Allocation pie charts
  6. Performance comparison

Export Portfolio

  1. Open the portfolio
  2. Click Export
  3. Choose format:
  4. CSV - Spreadsheet compatible
  5. PDF - Printable report
  6. JSON - For programmatic use

Portfolio Templates

Pre-built portfolio templates to get started:

Template Description
60/40 Classic 60% stocks, 40% bonds
Tech Growth Technology-focused growth
Dividend Income High-yield dividend stocks
All Weather Balanced for any market
Aggressive Growth High risk, high reward

Using a Template

  1. Go to Saved Portfolios
  2. Click Templates
  3. Select a template
  4. Click Use This Template
  5. Customize as needed

Sharing Portfolios

  1. Open the portfolio
  2. Click Share
  3. Copy the link
  4. Send to others

Note: Shared portfolios are view-only.

Import Shared Portfolio

  1. Click the shared link
  2. Click Import to My Portfolios
  3. The portfolio is added to your account

Organization Tips

  1. Use descriptive names - "Retirement 2045" not "Portfolio 1"
  2. Add descriptions - Note your strategy and goals
  3. Group by purpose - Growth, income, speculation
  4. Archive old portfolios - Don't delete, rename with "Archive:"
  5. Review periodically - Update allocations as goals change
